Puerto de la Cruz & Santa Ana Square once again host the traditional end to the festivities
The end of the Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más Músicas Creativas will light the flares of the closure of its 33rd edition in grand style with a long weekend featuring three concerts in Puerto de la Cruz & Santa Ana Square, plus occasional visits to El Hierro & Lanzarote. Prominent among the groups & artists that will take the stage at the different venues are the Jonathan Kreisberg Quintet, Ana Popovic, Theo Croker, Adédeji, Polo Ortí New Project, Germán López, Perinké Big Band y la Orquesta Jazz de Canarias, in addition to D’Local Groove, Morgan Hernández vs Fernikhan backed by Dj Cisco and Vaneesa Lemoine in the After Concerts.

The magic of Potter, Mehldau, Patitucci & Blake open the last week with Cécile McLorin Salvant
The Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más Músicas Creativas enters its last week of concerts in grand style, featuring performances by two of the musical ensembles at the top of the billing, who between them accumulate 8 Grammy Awards & 48 nominations. On the one hand, the group led by saxophonist Chris Potter (1 Grammy & 10 nominations); alongside Brad Mehldau (1 Grammy & 16 nominations); the double bass player John Patitucci (3 Grammy & 15 nominations) and drummer Johnathan Blake (1 nomination) will present the album Eagle’s Point, released by Edition Records; and on the other hand, vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant (3 Grammy & 6 nominations), who also comes to present her new album, titled Ogresse, a musical fable in the form of a cantata that blends genres (folk, baroque, jazz, country). Both groups will stage their performances in Gran Canaria (Theatre Pérez Galdós & Theatre Cuyás) and in Tenerife (Theatre Leal & Theatre Guimerá).

The shock wave of jazz comes this weekend to La Gomera, La Palma & La Graciosa
The Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más Músicas Creativas is present during this third week of concerts on five islands: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera & La Graciosa. A total of eight musical groups from all over the world will stage thirteen concerts to complete yet another week of the festival, before closing in just ten days.

Veronica Swift & the Dave Douglas Gift Quartet, an appetizer at the start of the third week
The Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más Músicas Creativas faces its third week of concerts with an excellent appetizer featuring two of the most attractive ensembles of the billing; one led by trumpeter Dave Douglas and the other with the vocalist Veronica Swift. Both will present their concerts at venues in the two main island capitals, following a weekend where the venues of Adeje and Maspalomas were full to capacity, and also an excellent audience attendance at the ‘Palacio de Formción y Congresos’ in Fuerteventura with the performance by Estrellas de Buena Vista y Más.
