Los Jinetes del Groove
‘Los Jinetes del Groove’ is a band that was formed at the at the start of 2021 in Valle de Guerra (San Cristobal de La Laguna, Tenerife) with the intention of breaking the cultural lethargy caused by such a long cessation due to the pandemic. Their aim is clear: transmit optimism and joy to the audience. Their repertoire consists of original pieces, with obvious influences of acid jazz & funk, that makes its music very rhythmic & powerful.
The group is made up of four of the best musicians on the island playing the saxophone, guitar, keyboard & drums, those being the instruments that form this quartet. The career path of each of the musicians is unbeatable, full of numerous live & studio recordings, national & international tours with bands of great renown both on the islands as well as the rest of the country. In addition, they have great experience in very different styles that gives them the capacity to adapt to each of the individual members perfectly. This is how ‘Los Jinetes del Groove’ was born after sharing between them their common experiences & connections, and how could it be otherwise that from a production so special, very special music emerges.
Following their formation, the band prepared their original repertoire and presented it in June 2021 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The concert was a tremendous success with the “sold out” poster displayed outside the venue. This was the first time the audience experienced the band’s music and the feedback was so good. Throughout 2021 and the start of 2022 they staged more concerts on the island of Tenerife and managed to perform a gig on Gran Canaria. In spite of the restrictions, they were able to fill all the venues with their concerts, which made the public aware of the band in a short space of time. In February 2022 they recorded their first disc, titled ‘Cañonero’ at the ‘Arena Digital’ studios. After a lot of work, they were able to present it in April 2022 and once more the concert was “sold out” and yet again received incredible feedback. This is how after this presentation, ‘Los Jinetes del Groove’ represent a great musical prospect on the islands with a very promising career path ahead.
