Trio Corrente
Paulo Paulelli (bass), Edu Ribeiro (drums) & Fabio Torres (piano) are among the best Brazilian musicians of their generation. Together they form the ‘Trio Corrente’, one of the most successful instrumental music groups in their country, winners of the Grammy Award 2014 and the Latin Grammy Award, both in the Best Latin Jazz Album category.
It all began in the year 2000, when three musicians got together because of an amazing musical affinity between them, and since their first album recorded in 2003, have been creating a modern & personal language for the jazz piano trio, deeply rooted in the rich Brazilian musical tradition.
At the end of 2021 the trio released their new album ‘Sincronia’, which includes unique arrangements for great Brazilians like Sivuca & Nelson Cavaquinho, as well as new compositions. The trio sound fresh yet mature, the result of the twenty-year collaboration between these three musicians.
