Anna & Eliseo "And...We Still Are"
Anna & Eliseo Lloreda are two artists on the Canarian jazz scene who got together as a duo in the year 2007. Both have extensive musical experience and have participated in an endless number of musical ensembles in the years they have been professional musicians.
In 2019 they began working on their album ‘And… We Still Are’, made up of eight original compositions by the duo, which they will now present at the ‘Festival Canarias Jazz & Más’. The album was recorded in July 2021 at the ‘Musikrea’ Studios, overseen by the technician David García Valladares.
They make continuous variations in the rhythm & melodies in their jazz compositions, in such a way that the pieces they interpret never sound the same; they find themselves sufficiently moved by the music in each of their interventions, creating an intimate environment, embracing, having an effect on everyone in the audience. Eight songs which approach various genres: funk, blues, flamenco, bossa nova; recorded in a live session in which the duo get carried away & improvise. In 2010 they recorded ‘What We Are’ at the ‘Multitrack’ Studios. Then came ‘No Solo Jazz’, with Felu Morales on bass & J.M. Churchi Mendez on drums.
