ALAIN PÉREZ Y LA ORQUESTA
Nominated four times for the Latin Grammy Awards & winner of the Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Album, Alain Pérez has forged his own space in music by working alongside artists like Paco de Lucía, being a member of the legendary Cuban jazz band `Irake’ with Chucho Valdés, as conductor for Isaac Delgado’s Orchestra and also as misical producer for Estrella Morente, Celia Cruz & Miguel Poveda, among others.
With a career path of several decades composing, singing, sharing the stage and collaborations with the greatest of each category & status, his music ranges from jazz, flamenco and, of course, popular Cuban music of which he is one of its main contemporary icons.
He was nominated on four occasions for the Latin Grammy Awards, in the Balboa category: Best Traditional Tropical Music Album with “El Alma del son, Tributo a Matamoros” (2015); Best Salsa Album with «ADN» (2017); Winner Best Traditional Tropical Album with Issac Delgado & Orquesta Aragón (2021), Best Salsa Album for ‘Tierra y Libertad’ Plena 79 Salsa Orchestra & Jeremy Bosch (2023)
