
AYMÉE NUVIOLA – 'Bonche' Feat. Kemuel Roig
The singer, musician, songwriter & actress AYMÉE NUVIOLA “La Sonera del Mundo”, embodies that magical blend of musical genres of her native island of Cuba. Over the course of her successful career, she has received numerous awards and recognitions, especially in the field of latin music and jazz. Her first Grammy, in 2018, established her as one of the most important artists within the genre of Cuban Latin music.
En 2022, Aymée reached another significant milestone by being awarded the Grammy in the Best Latin Music Album category for her work Vivir lo Nuestro, an award that highlighted her consistent artistic development. Her renditions of Afro-Cuban music has earned her several international recognitions that has established her reputation as an ambassador for the traditional sound of her land.
In 2021, she was included in the list of the 25 most influential Latin women in the United States by the magazine ‘People’. For her visit to the 34 th Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más, Aymée Nuviola is accompanied by two of the most talented musicians of the new generation; namely, Kemuel Roig on piano, who was the pianist for Arturo Sandoval; Al Di Meola and, on percussion, another renowned artist and great connoisseur of the most ancestral sounds of Cuban music, Eduardo Ramos. Of no less importance, the rest of the band’s musicians, originating from Venezuela, Colombia and the Caribbean, further enrich this fusion that Aymée has conceived for her musical offering.
