ARIN KESHISHI QUINTET

Arin Keshishi, talented bassist, composer, producer and artistic director of the renowned Amsterdam Marmoucha Orchestra is, above all, a very versatile musician with a large number of collaborations in projects of different genres as varied as jazz fusion, pop, rock, classical music & flamenco, as well as being an expert in Armenian & Iranian folklore.

In 2015 he formed the Arin Keshishi Quintet, in which he masterfully fuses jazz with his oriental heritage in a multicultural tapestry that gives rise to a modern expression interwoven with melodies influenced by Middle Eastern ethnic music.

He has collaborated with musicians of the stature of Homayoun Shajarian, Chano Domínguez, Dhafer Yousef, Antonio Rey, Antonio Lizana, Mehdi Nassouli, Tahmoures Pour Nazeri, Sohrab Pour Nazeri, Alireza Ghorbani, Mohammad Motamedi and Montse Cortés.

His debut album Self-Reflection, which he presents at the Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más, serves as a vehicle for the expression of his musical evolution with a mixture of personal experiences and his Armenian-Iranian heritage, which results in a sound tapestry imbued with its own identity.
