ARIEL BRÍNGUEZ QUINTET

Ariel Brínguez is the architect of what could be called the new era of Cuban saxophone sound. He has been outstanding on the international music scene collaborating with some of the most renowned musicians of jazz and Latin music, such as Chucho Valdés and David Murray, with whom he has toured all over the world.


His recordings include four albums, Raíces en coloresExperienceNostalgia cubana and in 2024 Latidos, as well as numerous collaborations. He has participated as saxohonist in two Grammy award-winning albums, one with  Chucho Valdés in Tributo a Irakere: live in Marciac and the other with Alejandro Sanz in El tren de los momentos. He also participated in the album Voyager by Iván ‘Melon’ Lewis, winner of the Latin Grammy for Best Jazz Album.

In his already extensive career, he has participated in prestigious international jazz festivals such as the Marciac Jazz Festival in France, the Aspen Jazz Festival in the USA and Jazz à Vienne, Jazz & Winne de Leibnitz (Austria) and also the Gârâna Jazz Festival in Rumania, among others. As well as this he has performed at famous clubs, like the New Morning & the Sala Pleyel in París, at Yoshi’s club in California and the Blue Note in Milan.
