ELLISTER VAN DER MOLEN QUARTET
Ellister van der Molen, talented trumpeter whose artistic career path has been distinguished by a unique combination of lyrical sensitivity and improvisational audacity, is recognized as one of the most sought-after trumpet players in Europe, both as a soloist as well as a quality accompanying musician in different top level ensembles.
She is a regular member of the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, one of the most important jazz orchestras in the Netherlands and is a member of the Amsterdam Art Orchestra, formed in 2023, where she continues to develop innovative musical proposals.
With her quartet, described as a true star formation with names like Federica Larusso on piano, Marius Beets on bass & percussionist Nitin Parree, she performs renditions of both original compositions as well as arrangements by the great jazz masters, honouring tradition while expanding gender boundaries with elegance & creativity.
