ESPEN BERG TRIO meets VILLU VESKI
Considered one of the best contemporary jazz trios (Jazz Journal, UK), this award-winning Norwegian ensemble is one of the most prominent sounds on today’s Nordic jazz scene.
Espen Berg Trio has released four albums on the ‘Blue Gleam’ Japanese record label, selling thousands of copies in Japan and also receiving acclaim from both the public & specialist critics in Europe. Their third album, Free to Play, was included in ‘Downbeat’ as one of the best record releases of 2019.
Their presentation at the 34th Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más is in collaboration with the saxophonist Villu Veski (NordicSounds), one of the best-known Estonian jazz musicians both at national & international level, following his stints at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, like the Tokyo Opera City, Berliner Philharmonie and the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
