PATAX is currently one of the most prominent fusion bands in Spain and a globally recognized project, with over 100,000 followers on Facebook and 25 million views on YouTube. The band has achieved strong international projection with tours in China, Costa Rica, Peru, Panama, Hong Kong, Germany, France, Morocco, Mexico, Cuba, Finland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Colombia.
Drawing inspiration from the legacy of jazz legends such as Weather Report, Corea’s Elektric Band, Herbie Hancock, and Zawinul Syndicate—and clearly influenced by visionary artists like Irakere, Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis, Enrique Morente, Snarky Puppy, Sixun, and Paco de Lucía—PATAX takes the concept of “fusion” into completely uncharted territory. Their unique blend of flamenco, funk, jazz, and Afro-Cuban folklore, combined with the virtuosity of their members, results in an explosive, surprising, and magical musical experience that has won over fans all around the world.
